MIHO_AIDA_MOVIE_STILL_3

"Gwich'in Women Speak" an inspiring and moving short documentary film by Miho Aida is now doing the film festival circuit and is available on DVD online at mihoaida.com/gwichin/dvd/.

The film has been screening worldwide and will be at the Alaska Forum for the Environment Film Festival this week in Anchorage at the Dena'ina Convention Center at 9:45am on Thursday, Feb.6th and 9:40am on Friday, Feb.7th.

The women of the Gwich'in Nation have been speaking out for over 25 years on this issue and so eloquently capture why the birthing grounds of the Porcupine Caribou Herd known to our communities as The Sacred Place Where Life Begins need to be protected for future generations.

Please write your US Senators and Representatives and urge them to sign on to S1695 or HR139
to designate the Coastal Plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge as Wilderness
to protect this sacred place once and for all.

Please do share this powerful film with friends and family!

Hai' zhrii Diilak Naii!  Thank you so much for your support of the Gwich'in Steering Committee!
